Summary of Experience
Jim Kadavy leads the development and execution of the operating plan for the Great Plains Region, where he oversees management of the firm’s presence in Iowa, central and southern Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

He has been serving as Regional Managing Director of the Great Plains Region since April 2008.

Kadavy has been in accounting since 1982 and joined RSM McGladrey in 1990 as an audit manager. He has served a number of leadership roles in the firm in the last 18 years.

Previously, he served as Executive Managing Director of the Central Plains Economic Unit, where he led the firm’s successful organic expansion into Denver and Omaha. He also oversaw the client service and business development efforts of nearly 800 professionals.

Kadavy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Iowa CPA Society and the Health Care Financial Management Association. He also is a board member and past chairman of the Chamber of Commerce for Davenport, Iowa.

Kadavy also participates in the firm’s Leadership Development program, a multi-year program involving group and individual coaching designed to help participants become more effective leaders.

Education
Kadavy is a 1982 graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. He also is a graduate of RSM McGladrey’s Business Advisor Program, a high-level educational program specifically designed for the firm by the prestigious University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
